Q: What should I put up for auction?

That is entirely up to you. Look around your room and find things that you no longer want. Nothing too expensive, please. No cars, houses, boats, or anything of that sort. Remember, this is a site for teens and young adults.

Q: How do you sell an item?

Only registered users can sell items. If you are already a registered user, follow the link at the side of each page that says "Sell Item". You will fill out a form and your item will be put upon the auction block. Make sure to ask your parents before you sell anything.

Q: What category do I put my item in?

The categories are self-explanitory, so figuring out where to place your item should be a piece of cake. If you believe your item defies categorization, put it in Miscellaneous. Please put your item in the right category. It's for your own benefit, and not doing so violates the listing policy.

Q: What is the url to my item?

After posting your item, the URL will be given to you. If you lost it, just search for it on the search feature and copy the URL using the right button on your mouse. You will need your URL to keep track of bidding. Your item number is included in the URL.

Q: What if my item doesn't sell?

Feel free to relist it for as long as it takes to be sold. You may want to jazz up your title, lower the starting price, or throw in some extra goodies.

Q: Can I use HTML in my auction description?

You sure can. Make your text purple and change the font. Add animated stars. Do whatever it is you think is best for your auction. If you wish to find out more about HTML, visit
HTMLgoodies.com for more information.

Q: How much should I charge for shipping and packaging?

You decide. Don't make it too high, though, or no one will bid. Padded envelopes can be bought for approximately 50 cents a piece. It costs 99 cents to ship a CD. Priority mail is $3.20 for up to 2 pounds. Usually the buyer pays shipping and handling.

Q: My auction has ended. Now what do I do?

Check out the "after the auction" page for a complete explanation of what to do. You will recieve an email with contact information of your high bidder. Be sure to contact the high bidder through email and work out the details. As soon as the bidder sends you a payment, ship their item.

Q: What if I decide I don't want to sell my item anymore?

I'm afraid you don't have a choice. When you signed up, you agreed with
this policy. As soon as you clicked the button and put your item up for sale, you made a contract. You are obligated to sell the item to your highest bidder. However, if you lost your item or if it was accidentally damaged, your would-be buyer will be understanding.

Q: What happens if my buyer backs out?

Please read our
policy on buyers that back out of payments. Depending on the situation, you should leave this person either neutral or negative feedback. Then ask the second highest bidder if he/she would still be interested in buying the item. If you don't wish to do this, relist your item.

Q: What can't I sell?

    Observe our
Forbidden Items Policy for a complete listing on what is not allowed on our servers.

Q: Can I post joke auctions?

No; this is not a place for jokes. Joke auctions are in direct violation of the user agreement and may result in chastisement. Any jokes auctions will be removed immediately.

Q: Whoops! I need to edit my auction description. What should I do?

Log into your account and edit your auction from there. You can also use this method to remove your auction.

Q: My auction was deleted! What happened to it?

Duplicate auctions will be deleted. If you have more than one of the same thing to sell, please sell them one at a time. Plus, anything we consider inappropriate, offensive, illegal, or against the policy will be removed immediately.

Q: My transaction went smoothly. What should I do?

If you wish to be polite, leave your buyer positive feedback so other sellers know that they are trustworthy. Your buyer should also leave you positive feedback if they found your end of the transaction to be satisfactory.
