LaundroMatic is one of the Internet's first and finest trading posts for teens. Yes, Virginia, there is a trading community for those who are still in their teenage years. No longer is the hassle of having to be 18 to particpate in online auctions. No longer will you experience the woe of not being able to sell a certain item that would only be of interest to your peers. Our site is founded on the basic idea that the web needs more interpersonal sites for those of the teen and young adult persuasion. We are an electronic medium through which people from around the world can buy, sell, and trade almost anything you can think of (as long, of course, as it isn't illegal).

    The idea for LaundroMatic was concieved sometime in early June of 1999, when a very bored Gena was inspired by a comrade to create a haven where their peers could buy, sell, and trade the things they so sought after (or the things they sought to rid themselves of). It was an almost immediate success, and soon more people joined the staff in order to help with the bulk of work. A newer, more professional version was launched on July 19th, 1999 and has been expanding ever since.

    We're the first site on the web that promotes and actually allows teenagers to participate in the rapidly growning online auction scene. There is also no charge to sell anything- no insertion fees, no rudely stealing a small portion of your profits. We're more user friendly, personable, and not to mention our layouts are a heck of a lot cuter than those pesky corprate auction sites that we all know and love.
